Bürstner wins coveted ABC Award 2021 in Germany
Bürstner's Gallery motorhome has won a prize in a renowned and globally unique design and automotive industry contest, the ABC Awards 2021. The Gallery won the award for outstanding product and marketing design.
Berlin. With the slogan "Travel small, live large", Bürstner presented the Lyseo Gallery, an absolute innovation in the rapidly growing compact motorhome segment with a patented "gallery roof", on 8 June 2021. This unique motorhome, initially produced as a press launch vehicle prototype but essentially ready for serial production, features an elevating over-cab area that lifts up vertically when parked with the aid of compressed air and a specially developed air chamber system. This creates a generously-sized second floor living area that offers unparalleled living and sleeping comfort. This second floor can even be used as an on-the-road office space. The Lyseo Gallery is therefore the first motorhome model to unite the advantages of a low profile motorhome with those of an over-cab bed model. Whilst travelling, the silhouette of the vehicle is extremely flat, which makes it considerably more streamlined than ordinary over-cab bed models; it therefore also consumes less fuel. The interior design – which the jury also honoured – is a further development of the "wohnfühl" home-from-home standard that has characterised the Bürstner brand for over 30 years. The prize is awarded to mobility industry stakeholders of international renown for innovations in the area of individual transport and ground-breaking technological developments. The jury honours projects that are moving ahead in the fast lane in the world of mobility.
