It’s official! Bürstner has just won the coveted iF DESIGN AWARD with our ground-breaking Micro Camper Concept Car “Habiton by Bürstner”. We won the hearts of the jury in the category “1.01 Automobiles / Vehicles”. The iF DESIGN AWARD is presented by iF International Forum Design GmbH and is recognised worldwide as one of the most prestigious awards in the design sector.
What makes Habiton by Bürstner so special? Well, our innovative design, which makes everyday life easier, and the modular camping concept blew the 132-strong international jury away! The inflatable roof tent, which is seamlessly integrated into the roof of the vehicle and is based on a Renault Kangoo, deserves a special mention. This masterpiece was developed by a mixed team of in-house developers and the renowned Rüsselsheim design studio StudioSyn under the direction of Tom Klüber-Voss.
The competition was tough, but we did it! Out of almost 11,000 applications from 72 countries, we came out on top and received the coveted seal of approval.
“We couldn't be prouder of this award for our Habiton study,” enthuses Jens Kromer, Managing director of Bürstner. “We are working tirelessly to drive Habiton’s series production forward so that you too can soon enjoy this innovative micro camper.”
