• The Red Bull X Alps paragliding challenge is scheduled to take place across the Alps from 11-23 June 2023
• Czech paragliding professional and double world record holder Ondrej Prochazka is taking part in the race as an athlete for the first time this year
• Bürstner provides the paragliding athlete and his team with a fully equipped Campeo 4x4

Kehl. With the support of the Czech paragliding pilot Ondrej Prochazka, the leisure vehicle manufacturer Bürstner GmbH & Co. KG from Kehl is taking another step in the direction of sports sponsoring. The race is a 2-week Challenge, which consists of 15 stages and takes place from 11 till 23 June 2023. The athletes start from Kitzbühel, Austria, flying and hiking across Germany, Switzerland, France, Italy to finish in Zell am See, Austria. The Czech team will be provided with a fully equipped Campeo 4x4 camper van with backrack+. During the Challenge, the homely vehicle is the "home base", which enables the pilot to regenerate quickly between the stages. The pilots are allowed to move across the route only on foot or by flying. Once on the ground, the pilot is accompanied by his team in the vehicle following him closely to provide support with the Campeo 4x4 as a mobile home and kitchen on wheels.

"We chose the Campeo 4x4 for this race because it fits the requirements of this competition very well. The Campeo is a compact camper van that still finds grip on rough terrain thanks to the 4x4 drive. This will be very useful as Ondrej will be followed by the car deep in the Alps, where snow, mud and rain can be standing in the way. Even more important are the comfortable sleeping facilities for pilot and crew, which contribute significantly to maximum rest between flights. After all, to perform, you want to feel like being at home and you need restful sleep," explains Bürstner Marketing Manager Thorsten Erhardt. "We are proud of the spontaneous cooperation with Ondrej Prochazka and keep our fingers firmly crossed for a successful participation."

The 37-year-old Ondrej Prochazka spends every year more than 500 hours flying and testing paragliders and holds two world records. This year he will compete at the Red Bull X Alps for the first time. Ondrej has been successful in many other international competitions, having accumulated thousands of hours throughout his 13-year career.
